Backlink strategy, not backlink packages

I do not sell links. I audit the profile you have, remove what is damaging it, find the domains linking to your competitors and not to you, and give you a target list with the angle for each one. Nothing here risks a penalty.

No purchased links, no networks, no bulk directories. Ever.

Symptoms

Links are the part of SEO most often bought and most often regretted.

Authority is real and it does move rankings. The problem is that it is the one factor you cannot simply build yourself, which is why a whole industry exists to sell shortcuts — and why so many sites carry damage from a provider they hired three years ago.

The work here is unglamorous: understand what you already have, remove what is hurting, and pursue the small number of links that are genuinely obtainable and genuinely worth something.

  • A previous provider built links and you do not know what they did.
  • Rankings dropped and nobody can tell you why.
  • Competitors outrank you with visibly weaker content.
  • You get emailed “500 backlinks for $50” every week and wonder if it works.
  • You have no idea which sites currently link to you.
  • Publications mention your brand without linking to it.
  • Your technical and content work is done, and you are still stuck.

The position

What I will not do, and why it matters to you.

Everything on this list violates Google’s link spam policies. They work for a while, which is exactly the problem — the site owner sees results, renews, and the correction arrives eighteen months later when the provider is long gone.

You are the one left with the domain. That asymmetry is the whole reason this list exists, and the reason my prices look higher than a link package.

Scope

What the strategy actually covers

Two halves: cleaning up what you have, and identifying what is genuinely obtainable next.

  • 01

    Link profile audit

Every referring domain classified by type and quality, so you finally know what you are carrying and where it came from.

  • 02

    Risk assessment

Identifying footprints that indicate purchased links: shared IPs, identical anchor patterns, sudden acquisition spikes, dead networks.

  • 03

    Anchor text distribution

Natural profiles are mostly brand and URL anchors. A profile that is 70% exact-match commercial anchors is a signal, and not a good one.

  • 04

    Disavow, only if needed

Google ignores most low-quality links automatically. The file is prepared where there is a manual action or a genuine paid-link footprint — not as routine.

  • 05

    Competitor gap analysis

Every domain linking to competitors and not to you, filtered to the ones you could realistically approach.

  • 06

    Unlinked mention reclamation

Publications that already name your brand without linking. The highest conversion rate in link acquisition, and almost nobody checks.

  • 07

    Resource and roundup placement

Pages that exist to list businesses like yours: association directories, supplier lists, local and industry resources.

  • 08

    Digital PR angles

What about your business is actually newsworthy or citable — data, a survey, a strong opinion. The honest way to earn links at scale.

  • 09

    Internal link architecture

The authority you already have, distributed properly. Free, entirely within your control, and consistently the most neglected part of link work.

  • 10

    Outreach templates

The specific angle and message for each target, written so you or your team can send them without sounding like a mass mailing.

Deliverables

What you actually receive

A clear picture of your profile, and a finite list of things to do next — with the reason attached to each one.

  • Profile report

Every referring domain classified, with the risky ones flagged and the reason for each flag stated plainly.

  • Cleanup plan

What to remove, what to leave alone, and a disavow file prepared only if the evidence justifies one.

  • Target list

Reachable domains with authority, the contact route, and the specific reason each one might link to you.

  • Outreach templates

Written per target type, in your voice, so the first email does not read like the hundred others that editor received.

How it works

Clean first, then build

Chasing new links while a damaged profile sits underneath is expensive and slow. The order matters.

  2. 02

    Clean

Removal requests where practical, disavow prepared only where the evidence supports it.

    Days three to four

  3. 03

    Identify

Competitor gaps, unlinked mentions and resource pages filtered down to what is realistically reachable.

    Days four to five

  4. 04

Often the honest answer is “do nothing yet”

Plenty of sites are held back by indexation or thin content rather than by authority, and buying links would not have fixed either. If the audit shows your profile is fine and the ceiling is elsewhere, I will say so and point you at the service that actually applies — even though it is a smaller invoice.

FAQ

Link questions

Will you build links for me?

I find them and tell you exactly how to get them. I do not run outreach campaigns at volume, and I would be sceptical of any solo consultant at these prices who claims to. Real editorial outreach is slow, personal work — it belongs with someone who knows your business and can speak for it.

What I give you is the finite list, the contact route, the angle for each one and the templates. Most clients find that is the hard part; sending twenty emails is not.

I bought links a few years ago. Am I in trouble?

Probably less than you fear. Google ignores most low-quality links automatically rather than penalising for them, so a handful of bad directories is usually not the problem. What does cause trouble is a clear paid-link footprint at scale, or an actual manual action in Search Console. The audit tells you which situation you are in, and that alone is worth the €59 if you have been worrying about it.

Do I need to disavow?

Most sites never need to. Google has been consistent that the disavow tool is for manual actions and cases where you know links were paid for or otherwise manipulative. Using it casually can remove links that were helping you. I prepare a file when the evidence supports it and tell you plainly when it does not.

How many links do I need?

It is not a quantity question, which is exactly why link packages are sold by quantity. Ten links from sites your customers actually read will do more than five hundred from anywhere else. The gap analysis shows what your competitors have that you do not, which is a far more useful target than a number.

What about guest posting?

There is a real version and a fake one. Writing genuinely for a publication your audience reads is legitimate and always has been. Paying a site that exists to sell placements is a link scheme, and those sites are identifiable — they have a “write for us” page, a price list, and no real readership. The strategy includes the first kind and never the second.

How long until links affect rankings?

This is the slowest of the six services. Individual links need to be crawled and evaluated, and the effect compounds over months rather than appearing in weeks. Expect six months before a link programme shows clearly, which is another reason to fix technical and on-page issues first — those move faster and cost less.

Can you just tell me if my profile is safe?

That is precisely what the €59 audit is for. It ends with a plain verdict — no action needed, monitor, or clean up — with the evidence behind it. If the answer is that your profile is healthy, you have that in writing and you can stop thinking about links.
